After I listened to Hypermagic Mountain, I really wanted to listen to the record that came before it, which is this album!! It's actually really cool hearing their 2005 album's predecessor and seeing how it sounded before they fleshed that sound out more. 30,000 Monkies actually reminds me of a song I used to hear on Roblox a lot lol

I was originally going to listen to Total Xanarchy, but I decided against it for right now since my wife recommended this to me a day or two ago. Maybe another time hopefully!! Anyways, I didn't really like listening to this album. With my first listen, I tried paying extra attention to the lyrics on some of the tracks (mostly the latter half), which I don't usually do... and it makes this experience somewhat worse as I realize that they sound pretty shite when he sings them. If a few of the tracks on this were taken off of the album would actually make it better, like Haha, Hi, which is unnecessarily long and features some of the worst vocals on the album... I think... I can't really remember much but that one stuck out to me as being bad.
After listening to this again I think I've said all I've wanted to talk about after my first listen. There's nothing else to talk about, really... it just felt even longer than the first listen

It Was Fun While It Lasted by Sueco: 31 October⁂
Yet another album recommended to me by my wife!! This probably has the most convincing vocal performances I've heard on an album recommended by her so far. The production is also the most interesting and vibrant I've heard from this genre, I'm actually kinda feeling it. Lyrics could be better, but oh well, it doesn't matter much to me right now :P
The last two albums were definitely a step up from the others that she's recommended me. I can understand why people would hate the vocals but i'm honestly fine with them. However, I kind of wish the production was harsher as I think it would compliment the vocals more. I also still think the lyrics can be silly but at this point I can overlook them and they actually kind of resonate with me at a few points. Motel 666 is one of my favorite tracks on the album, but I was wondering what the vocal sample on it was about and then I realized that it was just a weird track in general haha

Another recommendation from my wife!!! This is definitely the best album she's sent me yet ... but I don't really have much to say about it. It's good, but it's not really as great or as noteworthy as a lot of other projects that I've listened to and even the albums that she has sent me herself. It just sounds good, but there's not much after that thought.

Here is my 100th rated album!! I've been wanting to rate this for so long ever since I decided to make this the specific album I rated for the big milestone... and it's great! Jara is an amazing musician and learning about him makes me want to learn about socialist Chile and more about socialism in general. There's great variety in each song, and it kind of reminds me of the last album I rated, Quebec. I'm overall really fond of this, what a great album :)

A lot of the songs on this album really fascinate me. In the first few seconds of some of them, I wasn't really expecting to like them as much as I did when I actually fully listened to each of them. It feels like I've heard some of these tracks so many times before yet I feel like they're completely new at the same time.
It’s honestly crazy how good this album is. I thought the album was kind of corny at first but the songs have actually grown on me a considerable amount. Even the song that I thought would’ve been the bane of my existence, So Many People In The Neighborhood, has actually been getting better to listen to each time I put on the album. This also reinforces my belief that any song with the word Chocolate in its title is a good song lol

Desatormentándonos by Pescado Rabioso:
25 October⁂
This sounds very nice! To me, it seems like this is a mixture between Invisible and some other Spanish music I grew up listening to. Although it does have some resemblance to Invisible's albums, it definitely is its own thing.
Right now I am starting to get very tired and it's a school night... I'll think about the rating of this album and give it a couple more listens to see if I really feel like the rating is accurate. I didn't really know what to expect with this band's new members, and I was especially interested in knowing what the drumming was going to be like for this. Thankfully, it actually sounds really nice and I'm quite fond of it, although I still think that Invisible's drumming is better based off of the three albums in their discography compared to just this Pescado Rabioso one. The first track is the track that feels the most related to Invisible in my opinion, as it somewhat reminds me of the band while also bringing in a lot of other elements to make sure the two are separate from each other. Everything else on the album is definitely unique, as this album has more quiet, mellow moments than the three Invisible albums. I'm not sure whether I prefer that or not but I'll sleep on it. I also just have to mention how beautiful the cover for this album is. I think it definitely surpasses a lot of albums by Spinetta and many others in general. I still think El jardín de los presentes' cover might be better, though, but it legitimately is such a pleasure to look at.

I was originally gonna listen and rate this before I rated Red House Painters [Rollercoaster] but I decided against it because it was irritating to listen to last night. Fortunately, that turned out a really good decision !!! ^_^ The vocalist on this album sounds so much like the vocalist on STOMACH BOOK but this is like the good version of that album. The noisy production is amazing and really grabs my attention and sounds so gooooood ... I would b headbanging to this album so much if I feltr like it
Now that I've listened to this album more, the comparison to STOMACH BOOK wasn't really a good one... I only really said that because of how similar the vocalists of the two albums are so weirdly similar (I DON'T KNOW HOW). I honestly thought this band wouldve been more well-known than it actually is, I love the aggression , it makes me feel lost in the music in a good way!!! >_< AMAZING ALBUM, I SHOULD LISTEN TO MORE ALBUMS FROM THIS BAND TOO

Listening to this album feels like actually slowing time down in a good way. It feels really long but it's still worth the listen and it sounds nice. I don't really have many feelings towards the album so far though, I should listen to this album again when I'm not tired and am able to pay attention to what's going on lol
Now that I'm more awake and am able to actually listen to the album, it sounds much better than it did on my first listen. The songs resonate with me a lot more now and they are just genuinely so much better to listen to. The slowness and melancholic atmosphere also make the album sound even better and hit harder than it otherwise would. I'll probably give it one more listen :)

The album cover really made me interested and I wanted to see what this album had in store. I had to decide between three albums I wanted to listen to next and I picked this one. Thankfully, I made a great choice as this has some great material. This is very different from everything else i've listened to from Bladee, and I am quite fond of how it came out. Some of the lyrics are also beautifully written, with one of my fav lyrics on Noblest Strive. Can't wait to digest this :3
I am quite fond of this album! It sounds cuter than most other Bladee tracks I've listened to which I really like and it is fun to just put on and listen to :) I wonder if Bladee has expanded on this sound more since the release of this album and if not then what it would sound like...

I have been looking forward to this album for the longest time ... ever since I put this on my backlog I've resisted myself from listening to anything from it and it really is an experience. It starts off very very strong, but then after The Individual the enjoyment fizzles out a bit for me ... Cop Shoot Cop is still an amazing closer, though ^_^
Very fond of this album, I think the long runtime really makes it better because of how beautifully everything is drawn out. It can be kind of a slow burner, but it really hits even during its journey, and is very rewarding to fully listen to. This release also enthralls me and I might actually dive into the rest of this band's discography (at least the main albums) once i finished with the Xiu Xiu discography. The main vocalist of the album sounds beautiful, and reminds me of someone I just can't put my finger on, and the aesthetics of the album just absolutely makes the whole experience better... what an amazing album <3

Not sure what to think, I don't really see much interesting music here. I dont think it's really that bad but it's not that good either. It also seems like it'd get tiring after a first listen.
It's pretty easy for people to hate on Imagine Dragons, and this record provides me a new perspective on why that is. Although I don't find it appallingly bad like others may do, it's just really uninteresting and doesn't do much for me. It's music that feels like it would just be in the background of everything else going on rather than actually being more part of something ... I can see what people are saying when they say this is kind of just music for commercials.

This is the last album out of the three that Invisible have released that I'm listening to, but it definitely is not the least. It sounds very beautiful and serves as a great way to observe the transition between their first and last records. Dios de Adolescencia is also a lovely closer, even if it is somewhat brief.
My first 4½ star album of October !! ^.^ I personally think Spinetta is an amazing singer, and this album really reinforces my belief. His vocal performances is beautiful and really provide another dimension on how he paints the canvas of each song. The rest of Invisible also is great, with intricate and powerful drumming (I have always loved the drummer of this band haha) along with the dynamic guitars strumming along, it really is something amazing! I wish this band had made longer albums, though - that's why i'm looking forward to listening to the bands that Spinetta was also a part of, probably starting with Pescado Rabioso and then looking into others that seem interesting. Christmas Drag by I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME: 6 October⁂
All the way back in late 2020, I found out about this band through their single Choke. I thought it sounded cool so I listened to a few other songs by them and never looked back. As of recently, I've been thinking about Christmas Drag somewhat frequently, so I wanted to listen to the EP it was on and see what it sounded like. To my surprise, though, the opener was the best track, as the other two were just mediocre tracks that really don't do much for me. It's not bad, but other than Christmas Drag I don't really see much value in it.
Mediocre wasn't really the best word to describe the songs on this EP, but they don't really stray far from it. This is just some safe Christmas music to play around others, which I'm actually totally fine with and it doesn't really bother me when listening.

Lucid Dreams by BoyWithUke: 6 October⁂
This is the second album that I've been recommended by the same person that recommended me Lonely Vibes ... and it's honestly underwhelming :/ ... The majority of the songs on the album start with the same idea, just strumming of the ukulele and then after a few seconds the vocals start. BoyWithUke tries to do something a tiny bit different at the beginning of Before I Die but it just comes of as useless to me and more of a cliché than a change for the better lol .
I'm not really feeling it here sadly. This is the first album from this artist I've listened to and I haven't really heard much of his music at all so I didn't really know what to expect except for the fact that it might be bedroom pop. There are some good moments on this album, like the song Rockstar, which is probably the most unique song out of the others with its production being more interesting than most other songs on here. But, they are mostly drowned out by the songs that just are kind of the same concept and structure over and over except with slightly different topics. It's very close to a 6/10 but it just falls short .. Sorry ... >.<

I honestly don't have much to say after listening to this for the first time. After I finished rating Velocity : Design : Comfort, I noticed that this was a more Dream Pop oriented album, and that made me really want to dive into it. I love how it sounds, I'm gonna listen to it more, though, to really see what it has in store.
This is such a great way to transform their sound from their last record. Even if I prefer it more than this one, this still has lovely material and it is interesting to notice the similarities between tracks from the two albums. I also find it interesting that they put Roby's voice in more of the tracks and made him just more prominent in general. He can be annoying at times lol

I found about this EP through me finding the original song used XXXTENTACION's Tightrope (I used to listen to his music a lot years ago), and I actually really liked how Ropes sounded. I then listened to the opening track, Cake, and I liked it a lot as well. I have to say I love what Scott James is doing on this, he's a great vocalist and the songs on here are really worthy of appreciation. This is probably some of the best Singer-Songwriter music I've heard so far !! :D
Most of what I said above I still agree with, Scott James makes the beautiful moments on this album shine even more with his comforting voice, making it a great experience to listen to again and again. Wow ... this is genuinely horrifying. It's like it's trying to kill me with its powering noise and abusive lyricism. It's like a window into the reality of the world we live in, covering topics that no one ever should have to experience first hand. The vocals, especially on tracks Wriggle Like A Fucking Eel and Philosophy make the atmosphere of the album even more macerating than the sounds would by themselves. The album kind of falls off a bit on the last 2 tracks, but it still is very impactful and probably one of the most harrowing I've listened to so far.
Every listen to this album leaves me more and more speechless about what I hear ... it's hard to sit through the album titled track, I feel worse each time I listen through the album but that's why it's great at what it does. I actually really like the noisy production even though I rarely listen to things like this, maybe I should listen to more of this genre someday

This album was recommended to me by someone ^_^ I was looking forward to listening to this album just to see how music like this from other artists sounded like and it's kinda just the same stuff I've heard before. Most of the tracks here are very samey with not much to see in variation, but it's not really that irritating to notice imo. The vocals here kind of remind me of what people would think when they're talking about bedroom pop musicians, and he sounds like a random hyperpop musician whom I don't remember the name of. I think it sounds nice though, I will give it another listen before I rate it :p
After listening to this album again, it reinforced the fact that it just kind of sounds meh. I can't really take these lyrics seriously with this production and the repetitive lyrics mainly being composed of the chorus said multiple times throughout each song. The titles of the songs are very silly and why is there even a remix on the actual tracklist of the album anyway? Shouldn't that have gone somewhere else like its deluxe reissue rather than here? There are some good moments on this album, but they are mostly overshadowed by the silliness of how the concepts that the album is covering are being communicated.

Really not sure what to think of this album. It has some good songs but it's left me wondering what I just listened to ... in a good way of course. I'm looking forward to trying to understand this album, I think it'll be really good once it clicks
Okay, to be honest it doesn't seem as great as I thought it would be. It's definitely still good and has some great material on it, but the instrumentals just aren't as particularly interesting and I think that Gira's vocals on this are just decent at best. I didn't really know what to expect with this, as this is actually the first Swans album I've ever listened to in full. In is an amazing opener that really made me look forward to what followed and the first few tracks that follow actually are close to being as good as it. I think the second half is better than the first half, but they are pretty close in quality to each other. Maybe this'll turn out to be like Girl With Basket of Fruit and I'll find some more enjoyment out of it. For now what I think is I like it, but it's not that great.

I probably should listen to Sematary's older mixtapes. This actually sounds pretty cool and his voice, especially on Cutter In The Club, was great to listen to throughout the EP. The Turnabout feature on 3AM Gang was also goes crazy just like on Angelmakers, one of my personal favs from Butcher House. I don't really have much to say because of my lack of expertise and the length of the release itself, but it's definitely good :)
This kinda grew off of me as I paid more attention to the music, tracks like 3AM Gang and Cutter In The Club are actually pretty good but the rest are just decent and most don't compare to the quality of the aforementioned tracks except for the single. This album just seems like it's trying to be used for as many commercials as possible rather than being an actually good musical product. Most of the songs here are boring and I lose focus on them because of how boring each track is. There aren't really any ideas here that haven't been used less than a thousand times. Saturday especially sucks just because I remember hearing ads of the song every 10 minutes back when it was released. :/
Very forgetful album, not that I really want it to occupy much space in my brain anyway. It's just Pop Pop Pop and that's boring -.- How could an album like this follow something like Trench, and How did it take them three years ... ?

Fun fact: I actually have also listened to East of the Sun, West of the Moon before, but I was very sleepy when I did and forgot most of the album. However, I Call Your Name is probably the song I remember most from the album other than Early Morning, and I really liked listening to it again. But The Way We Talk does not have the same quality, as it is not only short but also plainly sounds strange and just seems like a little interlude or demo rather than an actual song off of the aforementioned album.
Not really much more to talk about since this is a single, although I very much like the production and it is nice how the band were able to transition their sound into what it is on I Call Your Name. I still think The Way We Talk kind of sucks but it's not really too bothering. I also love the cover art for this single for some reason ... it just is so great to see, even with its simplicity.

a-ha is the band that got me interested in music and led me to make the spotify account that I still use today. It's been such a long time since I've started, I can't believe it hasn't been a part of me since I was a little girlie ... it's lovely to remember the beauty of Hunting High and Low when I first started listening, as Harket's voice lured me into the enchanting songs and the kind production kept me dreaming of better days. As I listen to this album, I look back on those memories of riding my electric scooter around the trailer park I lived in, pondering about how I am where I'm sitting today. a-ha has a sweet place in my heart, and I'm happy to listen to this album for the first time because it is just so beautiful to hear the differences between their most famous album and this one. The evolution of their sound makes me happy and I want to relisten to the 2 albums from them I've heard just to hear how pleasant this band was. As you can tell, I am looking forward to listening to this more over the next day or two :)

Like Public Void, this is similarly boring and it was kind of hard to concentrate on the music at some points like on Lukewarm and the very repetitive Mommy Fwiends cause there's just not really much to get from this album. Thankfully, this is still definitely better than the aforementioned hot mess of an EP and there are actually some moments where it sounds pretty nice ! For example, this album's version of American Healthcare is better than its "Glitzy" version on Public Void, and Montreal is also a bit fun . Some of the tracks on this album leave me speechless, and it makes me want to listen to the rest of the band's discography to listen to their transformation. Another album where I'm on the fence on whether it deserves a half of a star or not ... we'll see

This album's sound is amazing, even though most of the tracks are similar to each other it doesn't get tiring and is done in a great way. The transitions between some of the tracks are astonishing and honestly would make me not realize that a new song is playing if I wasn't paying attention ... I'm not done listening to this album yet since I want to listen a few more times before I decide my rating, but it's looking really good so far
Now that I've actually been able to digest the music on this album, I can say that it is amazing, although I'm really on the fence about whether this is a 4 or 4½ star album ... I want to buy the CD for this album so bad but I'm gonna wait until Monday >_< + edit: Definitely deserves the 4 1/2 star rating, will keep it there
